Vitamin B12 .... 0.5mg
Shelf life: 3 years
For INTRAMUSCULAR Injection
Who should not take VITAMIN B12?
low amount of potassium in the blood, Leber's hereditary optic atrophy
inflammation of the stomach called atrophic gastritis
past history of complete removal of stomach
WHAT ARE SIDE EFFECTS ASSOCIATED WITH USING VITAMIN B12?
Pain/redness at the injection site, mild diarrhea, itching
or a feeling of swelling all over the body may occur.
This medication may cause low potassium levels in the blood (hypokalemia).
Tell your doctor right away if any of these unlikely but serious side effects
occur: muscle cramps, weakness, irregular heartbeat.
Vitamin B12 Injection Therapeutic indications
Addisonian anemia, Folic acid deficiency
Gastrointestinal pathology, dysfunction, or surgery
Fish tapeworm infestation
Malignancy of pancreas or bowel
Warning
Do not use vitamin 12 injection if you are allergic to vitamin b12 or cobalt
Patients with Leber’s disease should avoid using it also
